Nespresso is starting their year off in style by introducing the Milano Intenso coffee blends, accessories and an exclusive coffee machine in collaboration with co-developer and Italian fashion icon, Chiara Ferrangni. The collaboration sees her embarking on a journey to stride through Italy with renowned historian, Filippo Cosmelli, in search for inspiration through the fascinating history of Rome’s and Milan’s rich coffee culture and tradition in a four-part short film series.
As the name of the collection suggests, the ingenuity behind the Milano Intenso was derived from the city of Milan, with the taste and notes of the blend stemming from historic locations such as Villa Necchi, Palazzo Montedoria and Duomo Cathedral. The Duomo gold spires and Villa Necchi’s bespoke geometric deep green design with gold accents appear throughout the high-toned collection, igniting a sense of wanderlust towards the vibrant city of Milan with its simple elegance yet sophisticated vibes.
The limited-edition collection is an expansion of the Ispirazione Italiana range. The blend finds a balance between jammy fruity notes and a shimmer of spice, arousing vivid visions of Milan’s artistic heritage, luxurious lifestyle, and superior taste. The blend features a classic combination of roasted-cereal and cocoa notes, oozing hints of bread and dark chocolate with every sip thanks to a split roast technique compromising mostly of medium roasted Robusta with the minority of its portion being roasted to a very dark degree.
The Milano Intenso also offers a set of two aesthetically pleasing, matte black and gold espresso cups, accentuating the stylish factor for coffee aficionados to truly indulge in the expression. The all-new Nespresso CitiZ coffee machine is also doused in a striking artwork reminiscent of Milan’s Villa Necchi Campiglio so java lovers can bring a little spirit of Italy into their homes.
