PropertyGuru Group, the leading property technology company & platform driven in SEA announced the winners of their 10th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia at their pristine gala in partnership with iProperty.com.my at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur. 

This year’s roster of winners for the PropertyGuru Awards Gala featured outstanding companies, exceptional property developments, and stellar individuals in the real estate industry. Spanning 48 categories, the awards were meticulously decided upon by a distinguished panel of both local and international experts, alongside the discerning input of the Malaysian public.

WCT Land Sdn Bhd emerged as the shining star at this year’s PropertyGuru Awards Gala, clinching an impressive nine golden statuettes, including coveted titles like Best Developer (Malaysia), Best Developer (Central Malaysia), and Best Mixed Use Developer. The spotlight also gleamed on their exceptional projects, Pavilion Mont Kiara and Greenville Residences. 

Not to be outdone, UEM Sunrise Berhad matched the stride with nine wins, with accolades showered upon projects such as The Connaught One, Allevia Mont’Kiara, The MINH Mont’Kiara, Residensi ZIG, and Verna Serene Heights. 

Sime Darby Property, another major player, secured five golden statuettes, notably claiming the prestigious Best Landed Development (Malaysia) award for Ilham Residence, alongside honors for Bandar Bukit Raja and Serasi Residences, Putra Heights Sentral. Eupe Corporation Berhad added to the triumph with the honorable Best High-Rise Development (Malaysia) title for Est8 @ Seputeh.

Other winners in the Developer categories were Mah Sing Group Berhad, named Best Lifestyle Developer with a win for M Astra; Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor, named Best Affordable Homes Developer; Tanah Sutera Development Sdn Bhd, named Best Developer (Southern Malaysia) with a win for Sutera Square; and Tanjung Ratna Sdn Bhd, named Best Boutique Developer.

The awards ceremony, spread across 48 categories, was a testament to the exceptional caliber of companies and individuals in the real estate industry. An esteemed panel of judges, including luminaries like Datuk Ar. Ezumi Harzani Ismail and Chris Tia, provided their unbiased insights during the Live Judging Days starting in July 2023. The gala also witnessed the People’s Choice Awards, where property seekers recognized the ten finest developers in the country, with winners including Chin Hin Group Property, Eastern & Oriental Berhad, and Sime Darby Property.

An independent panel of expert judges provided their unbiased insights during the Live Judging Days that began in July 2023. They consisted of Datuk Ar. Adding a touch of international expertise, John Ler and Kelvin Chew of HLB Ler Lum Chew – HLB Malaysia supervised the process, ensuring fairness, credibility, and transparency. The People’s Choice Awards, Portal’s Choice Awards, and the inaugural Rising Star Award for Ms Lindy Tan of BCB Berhad showcased the diverse recognition in the real estate scene.

The pinnacle of the evening was the Malaysia Real Estate Personality of the Year award presented by the editorial team of Property Report by PropertyGuru to Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan, founder and advisor of Berjaya Corporation Berhad. The award celebrated his remarkable achievements, including the diversification of the conglomerate and expansion into markets across Asia.

The black-tie gala dinner, jointly organized by Malaysia’s leading property marketplaces, PropertyGuru.com.my and iProperty.com.my, was a seamless blend of elegance and celebration. Hari V. Krishnan, CEO and managing director of PropertyGuru Group, expressed the Awards’ commitment to celebrating excellence in property development and design. Jules Kay, GM of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, congratulated the winners and highlighted the collaboration between Malaysia’s premier property marketplaces.

The triumph at the PropertyGuru Awards Gala opens the door for the winners to vie for Best in Asia accolades at the 18th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand on 8 December, marking their potential to make a lasting impact on the industry.
