Tom Hartley Jnr has proudly announced that they have now achieved a sales agreement for the extraordinary Mansour Ojjeh McLaren collection. Remarkably, this marks the high-end classic car specialist’s second highly desirable collection sale over recent months, the first being Formula 1 maestro Bernie Ecclestone’s unequaled line-up of 69 Grand Prix and F1 cars. With many of them boasting significant historical value by being driven to Formula 1 glory by such legendary drivers as Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Niki Lauda, and Michael Schumacher, the entire collection was sold for an undisclosed sum to Mark Mateschitz, the son of late Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz.

Snapping forward to the present, Mansour’s peerless curation of 20 McLaren supercars has continued to enthrall automotive connoisseurs & collectors across the world. With each being the final production example in its respective model run and preserved in factory fresh, unused condition, this truly represented a uniquely exclusive offering without equal in terms of automotive provenance.

The 64th and final McLaren F1 ever built sits at the collection’s heart as its indisputable crown jewel, in the form of chassis #075 originally specified by Mansour’s brother Akram Ojjeh in the bespoke ‘Yquem’ colour – now rechristened ‘Mansour Orange’ in honour of Mansour’s usage of the shade on all of his other McLarens. These include an occasionally track used P1 GTR, multiple variants of the Senna, Sabre, Speedtail, Elva, and even several LT supercars. Taken together as a whole, they represent what is likely the most significant collection of McLaren road cars ever assembled by a single individual.

Notably, it has been agreed as sold in its entirety to one buyer who wishes to remain anonymous, with the sale price also kept private. Given its provenance, the McLaren F1 alone attracted multiple world-record offers, yet both the Ojjeh family & Tom Hartley Jnr were resolutely committed to keeping the collection intact as a singularly historic ensemble.

Because this collection is more than an impressive gathering of McLaren’s finest; it is the living legacy of a man whose uniquely long-sighted vision played a key role in making McLaren what it is today. Even more than that, it represents Mansour’s expert passion and deep reverence for McLaren’s ethos of ultra-high performance, advanced design, style & quality. Profoundly heartfelt thanks has been extended to the Ojjeh family for their trust in Tom Hartley Jnr for this momentous sale, and of course to McLaren for their key role in nurturing this collection into a beacon of shared vision & enduring excellence in an automotive world where those values are often found lacking today.
