Seven watches, one shared bloodline. OMEGA has updated its Speedmaster 38 mm collection to bring it closer to the Moonwatch that inspired it in the first place. The changes are small on paper, but they add up to a collection that feels more focused and more connected to its roots.

Start with the dial. Where earlier models wore oval subdials, the new references opt for rounded ones instead, a small change that gives the whole face a sharper, more athletic stance. There is also less text on the dial, which makes the whole design feel cleaner. The bezel has been redesigned too, now thicker and featuring the DotOver-Ninety marking that Moonwatch fans will recognise right away. On their own, none of these changes stand out much. Put together, they show a collection that knows which details matter most.

Every watch in the update comes on a five-link bracelet styled after the Moonwatch, with the centre links either polished or brushed depending on the model. It is a small touch, but it changes how the watch catches light and ties the 38 mm line even closer to its full-size counterpart.

Inside, two movements do the work. The Co-Axial Calibre 3330 runs the six watches that include a date function, while the Calibre 3332 powers the single Black Dial model, which skips the date.

Steel, In Three Moods

The Black Dial model stays closest to the original Moonwatch look, with a matte black dial, black aluminium bezel, and white Super-LumiNova accents on the hands and indexes. The White Dial version takes a cooler approach, pairing a blue ceramic bezel and white enamel tachymeter scale with a lacquered white dial, its hands and date numerals finished in matching blue. The Silvery Dial rounds out the group with a warm grey aluminium bezel and silvery dial, set off by Sedna Gold hands and a mix of brown and gold tones on the subdials.

Two Takes On Bicolour

For a richer palette, OMEGA offers a Silvery Opaline Dial model that pairs a steel case with an 18K Moonshine Gold bezel, a green bezel ring, and a yellow gold tachymeter scale, with matching Moonshine Gold links on the bracelet. The Ivory Dial continues the collection’s familiar cappuccino look, combining an ivory dial with brown-toned subdials, an 18K Sedna Gold bezel, and a brown aluminium bezel ring, finished with matching gold bracelet links.

Set With Diamonds

Two references close out the lineup with diamond-set bezels, each featuring 52 stones for a total of 1.53 carats. One comes with an ice blue dial, the other with mother-of-pearl, and both use rhodium-plated hands and indexes filled with white Super-LumiNova for extra brightness.

Overall, this update is more about refinement than reinvention. OMEGA has taken what already worked about the Speedmaster 38 mm and sharpened it, bringing the small size closer than ever to the Moonwatch that started it all.
