Founded in 1982 in Ajman, UAE based Gulf Craft have also become known for purpose building yachts for various pursuits with their family of brand ranges. Their luxury adventure yachting Nomad range will firstly be represented at this year’s Singapore Yachting Festival on April 10-13 with the Nomad 101, a 30.34-meter triple decker designed for longer distance cruising around the Asia Pacific region while comfortably housing up to 10 guests and 6 crew. Its semi-displacement hull was penned by British naval architect Andrew Wolstenholme following the range’s classic design aesthetics with a flared bow, high bulwarks and contemporary topsides. He explained that safe sea handling and optimum comfort were his design goals, stating, The addition of the spray chine defines the lifting surface and gives my hulls a performance close to that of a planing hull at higher speeds, without the hard ride.” A modified round bilge form with stabiliser fins also makes for smoother offshore motion.

Twin MTU V12-2000 triple turbocharged engines power it to a 21 knot top speed for spirited adventuring, while a high degree of fuel efficiency also enables it to cover longer range distances of up to 3,100 nautical miles at 8 knot average velocities. A large flybridge with teak flooring and moveable furniture offers ample flexibility for relaxation and outdoor entertainment. Meanwhile, the main deck features a forward elevated owner’s suite with panoramic views, while the saloon and deck lounge are housed further aft. The onboard dinghy garage has generous room for water toys, including up to 3-seater jet skis and TurboJet tenders.

As an entry point to the luxury adventure segment, the Nomad 70 which will join the 101 in Singapore is no less impressive in terms of versatility, with its 70-foot size being ideal for ranged travel while remaining usable even by smaller groups of friends on casual fishing or wildlife sightseeing trips. Its advanced composite semi-displacement hull enables top speeds up to 25 knots with excellent stability across different sea conditions, while high efficiency and a fuel capacity of 1,800 US gallons (6,814 liters) grant it the ocean legs for extended range voyages.

Its impressively shallow draft of 4 feet 8 inches (1.43 meters) also opens up more diverse adventure opportunities, even in shallower waters and around island areas. The craft’s outdoor spaces are equally designed to champion this adventurous spirit, with a spacious cockpit that can even cater for al fresco dining, foredeck lounge, and private sky lounge that can be opened up to sunnier weather. Luxury has not been compromised in the five-cabin interior either, with the full-beam master suite being fully present and boasting panoramic views, while the other four staterooms include ensuite facilities for a high level of stylish guest comfort. The main saloon has been designed to encourage outdoor socialising, with an aft open style lounge and midship dining galley.

Finally, the Majesty 62 is intended to be a luxury yachters’ ultimate “holiday home on the water,” with its large aft cockpit door opening up to extend interior space and harmoniously blend indoor and outdoor on-board experiences. Featuring a 24 knot top speed and 514 nautical mile maximum range, the 62’s sleek design, compact footprint, and intuitive controls mean that both new and seasoned seagoers alike will find it easy to use.

Extended stays are well catered for with the owner’s stateroom stretching across the yacht’s full beam, along with four well-appointed guest cabins. A separate owner’s cabin also provides a most welcome sense of privacy, while social comforts are well maximized by the extensive flybridge and aft-galley layout.
