For the third year running, EQ Kuala Lumpur has teamed up with Meat & Livestock Australia for a meaty collaboration, featuring acclaimed guest chef Eric Siew. Good food, good meats, and even greater company; what can get better than this?
The Curated Experience
The event is aptly named “The Curated Experience.” It’s a title so refreshingly straightforward that it leaves no room for confusion. And what is it exactly, you may ask? In simple terms, it’s a thoughtfully paced culinary journey designed to be both interactive and deeply personal. But make sure to act quick, because the timing of this event is short, but sweet.

The journey kicks off with a spread of appetisers and sides that are far more than just fillers. Highlights include a sharp, savoury steak and blue cheese salad as well as the rich, tangy notes of shredded lamb tossed with sun-dried tomatoes. There’s also the essential comfort of warm soup paired with perfectly baked bread that’s crunchy on the outside and cloud-soft on the inside.
These starters aren’t just there to look pretty; they are the opening acts specifically designed to complement the heavy hitters to come.
The Main Course
The heart of The Curated Experience, as expected, lies in the succulent premium cuts. Among these are tomahawk, perfectly marbled rib eye, and even the classic sirloin; all of which with impeccable quality and taste. For the lamb lovers, the selection is equally tempting, featuring lamb rump, ribs, and rack.
Each piece is grilled to order and paired with sides and sauces that allow the natural integrity of the meat to take centre stage. The meal unfolds at an unhurried pace. Every bite allows guests to taste and feel how the meat literally melts in your mouth, paired with just the right sauce and drink, chatting along with whoever accompanies you with the sizzle of the live grill as your background music.

If you can’t stay for the full sit-down affair, or if you simply want to recreate the magic in your own kitchen, there’s another option as well. From 30 April to 6 May 2026, they are offering à la carte dining and the Butcher’s Takeaway.
Guests can go over to the display chiller and hand-pick their preferred cuts. Whether you want the chefs to prepare it to your exact desired doneness right there or take it home to your own barbecue, the choice is entirely yours.
