Aston Martin has revealed the spectacular Valkyrie LM to celebrate its return to the highest echelon of endurance motorsport, as an ultra-exclusive track intended evolution of the current era’s only road-derived hypercar aiming for top honours at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This represents another historic landmark in Aston Martin’s rich sporting history, a storied legacy that is woven into the famous endurance classic’s very roots themselves. Having first entered Le Mans in 1928 and scored multiple class wins through the decades, 2025 now marks the Wings’ first bid for outright victory since Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby triumphed with the Aston Martin DBR1 in 1959’s race.

The Valkyrie LM is derived from the Valkyrie Hypercar currently competing in both the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and North America’s IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship (IMSA), and will be powered by a modified, lean-burn version of Cosworth’s sensational 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine tuned to an equally regulation-limited 697 bhp output just like its race sibling.

Aston Martin CEO Adrian Hallmark said, “In all its forms, there is nothing on Earth that compares to Valkyrie. The Le Mans contender is unique amongst its peers, not least the breathtaking 6.5-litre V12 engine that provides the beating heart for the only competitive hypercar bred from a road car. Valkyrie LM is an exquisite opportunity to be part of the most exclusive Aston Martin owners club in the world; a group who can immerse themselves in the purest and most comparable endurance driving experience, one that would otherwise only be available to our works drivers operating at the very limit of sportscar racing’s highest echelon. Through the decades, Aston Martin has striven to give its owners the truest sense of the performance bred from its racing cars. With Valkyrie LM, there has never been an opportunity to get closer to the raw dynamic forces and state of the art technology deployed by the hypercar currently competing in WEC and IMSA.”

This will truly be the closest equivalent driving experience to the pinnacle Hypercar racing class’ elite performance levels, with minimal differentiation to the competition cars while ensuring that the Valkyrie LM will be fully accessible to amateur drivers. Its bespoke cockpit interface is tailored for track day usage, with the removal of race specific items including the ballast and FIA-regulation electronics. A custom carbon fiber race seat with specific shoulder support & headrest padding surrounds further optimizes the cockpit for driver safety, access and visibility, along with the 6-point FIA 8853 safety harness and fire suppression system.

Its V12 engine will be calibrated to run with most readily available grades of racing fuel, while more user-friendly open-loop torque control sensors optimize the customer driving experience. Just like its competition version, the Valkyire LM will be rear wheel driven via a 7-speed semi-automatic, paddle-shifted sequential transmission. Both front & rear doubler wishbones feature in its racing suspension configuration, with pushrod actuated torsion bar springs and adjustable central & side dampers. F1 tyre supplier Pirelli will also equip the Valkyrie LM with bespoke performance tyres.

Aston Martin’s Head of Endurance Motorsport Adam Carter added, “It is important to emphasise that the Valkyrie LM is close to identical to the race car that is currently competing in WEC and IMSA, with only a few minor deviations to ensure it is a non-homologated variant and is accessible for customers to experience and enjoy. Valkyrie LM represents the most authentic Hypercar track experience that is now available.”

Owners of the Valkyrie LM will have the liberty to take full possession of their car, and store or run it at any location of their choosing. However, a dedicated Aston Martin driver development programme has also been tailored to support, optimize and fully unleash their driving abilities in the interest of providing them the ultimate top-flight motorsport experience. This has been conceived to help them build their confidence & explore the limits of a machine designed to operate well in excess of 200 mph through La Sarthe’s fast, full throttle kinks, while removing the stresses of managing independent track sessions and ensuring that each Valkyrie LM car is prepared and set up with the same careful expertise as the race teams’ competition cars. A professional team of engineers will fully manage the programme, operating around a ‘fly-in-and-drive’ system that gives owners full immersion even as they explore their cars’ capabilities in a safely controlled environment.

Aston Martin themselves will store and maintain Valkyrie LMs tethered to this programme, transporting them to and from each Valkyrie LM Performance Club venue. Guided by Aston Martin’s dedicated professional driver coaches, clients will benefit from preparation measures including simulator driver coaching sessions, detailed track walks and classroom sessions; before unleashing their cars on track with one-to-one supervision. The driving experience will be fully optimized with data telemetry & onboard video analysis provided via each Valkyrie LM’s engineering team. Every owner also gets their own extensive vehicle and driver kit, including a helmet, Head and Neck Safety (HANS) device, driver’s suit and boots, fireproof underwear, moulded earpieces and driving gloves.

This would be the icing on the driver development programme’s proverbial cake, that is set to be Aston Martin’s most exceptional ownership experience by far. Valkyrie LM customers will participate in an exclusive handover event & a first track experience opportunity targeted to take place in Q2 2026, while two further fully supported track days will be incorporated into the marque’s UNLEASHED experience in Q3 and Q4 2026 at F1 grade race tracks. A special evening held at Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters in December will mark the culmination of the programme’s first year, including a Valkyrie LM customer dinner. Owners will also enjoy exclusive accommodation and chauffeur services throughout all of the programme’s aspects.

From its conception in 2016 as the original road storming Valkyrie Coupe, through the subsequent Valkyrie Spider, each iteration has been the apex of its class while providing an absolutely unique driving experience. Now the Valkyrie LM enables an exclusively esteemed cadre of customers to experience the journey of a top class Aston Martin endurance racing driver. It is intended to challenge and excite drivers of any background, while being ideally tuned to each client’s development as they progress through the journey of pushing their own boundaries. Strictly limited to 10 examples, first deliveries of the Valkyrie LM are scheduled to commence before the start of its immersive track day programme in Q2 2026.
