Porsche has always been known to distinguish themselves by being entertaining on the streets. While being more than capable on track with its powerful and precise-handling sports cars, the German luxury and sports car manufacturer also promises comfort, durability and style in their autos for daily driving.

With that said, Porsche is releasing the Style Edition for two of their 718 models – the 718 Boxster and the 718 Cayman.

Most prominently, the Style Edition sets to introduce an exclusive variant of paintwork for those who find particular importance to a striking design for their vehicle. Both mid-engine models now come in the all-new Ruby Star Neo exterior colour, which Porsche claims to be a modern interpretation of the Ruby Star of the famed 911 Carrera RS of the 964 generation.

Of course, customers are not limited merely to the Ruby Star Neo and will have the option to select their 718 models in other colours.

The newly released edition is also set apart by the 20-inch 718 Spyder wheels in high-gloss black, aesthetically completed with the wheel hub covers that feature the coloured Porsche Crest. On top of that, the Style Edition can be recognized by its black sport tailpipes and “Porsche” lettering in high-gloss silver on the rear. On the 718 Boxster Style Edition, the “Boxster” lettering embossed above the side windows is added to the soft top as an exclusive label.

Customers have the option to choose between 2 contrasting style packages for both the novel 718 Boxster and Cayman Edition respectively at no extra charge. Both include decorative stripes on the luggage compartment lid at the front and “Porsche” decorative lettering on the side, as well as black and white high-gloss paint finishes for the wheels and model designations at the rear.

On the inside, the models feature a leather package in black with contrast stitching in chalk, illuminated door sill panels in stainless steel and the Porsche Crest on the headrests.

The Style Edition for both models are exceptionally well-equipped with features that modern day auto standard demands. The newly styled models boasts a BiXenon main headlights with LED daytime running lights, ParkAssist front and rear with a rearview camera, Apple® CarPlay, cruise control, automatic dimming exterior and interior mirror, rain sensor, dual-zone automatic climate control, and whole range of further upgrades for customers to choose from.

In terms of powertrain and Chassis, both the new 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman Style Edition models do not differ from their entry-level versions, as well as from one another. The turbocharged four-cylinder generates 380 Nm of torque while churning out 300 ps of horsepower to deliver a century sprint timing of 5.1 seconds, topping out at 275 km/h.
