SUEN Jewellers has unveiled Tita Collection by SUEN, an exclusive 33-piece fine jewellery collection that reimagines Malay sartorial traditions for the modern era. Inspired by the remarkable textile and sartorial legacy of the late cultural icon Puan Azah Aziz, each piece in 18k gold and diamonds transforms traditional patterns, textures, and forms into wearable art.
A Legacy Passed Down with Love
The story behind the collection begins with a shared reverence for history. Puan Azah Aziz devoted much of her life to researching, collecting and preserving the intricate craftsmanship of Busana Melayu. Her private treasure trove recorded Malaysia’s rich textile heritage, featuring rare songket sarongs, Telepuk and Limar Baju Kurungs, and delicately embroidered Taket Emas.
To honour this lifelong devotion, daughter Tan Sri Dr Zeti Aziz donated the prized collection to Merdeka Textile Museum so future generations could continue to learn from it. Inspired by Tan Sri Dr Zeti Aziz’s dedication to preserving her mother’s memory, Lee Sze Suen, Founder of SUEN Jewellers, felt moved to translate those cultural references into fine jewellery. The result is a collection that gives a new generation a personal, intimate way to carry this heritage into everyday life.

In addition to the fine jewellery line available exclusively at SUEN Jewellers, SUEN created six heritage-inspired brooches specially for the Merdeka Textile Museum. Crafted in gold-plated 925 sterling silver, these museum pieces pay homage to the traditional role of brooches in Malay dress, with designs drawn from batik, traditional wooden ukiran, and songket.
Celebrating Beauty with a Purpose
The collection celebrates both artistic heritage and meaningful giving. To support humanitarian efforts, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the Tita Collection by SUEN fine jewellery will be donated to Viva Palestina.
