Once again, the holy month of Ramadan is upon us. And for 2026, The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur has something rather exciting (or in other words, wonderfully nostalgic) lined up for this blessed month.
Malam Varisan Melayu 2026
Introducing Malam Warisan Melayu 2026. Literally translating to “Malay Heritage Night,” this isn’t just your “run-of-the-mill” hotel buffet. Instead, think of it as a curated culinary expedition. It’s a journey that whisks you across the winding roads of Malaysia, rediscovering forgotten flavours that usually only exist in the memories of our grandmothers’ kitchens.
Under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Norazizi Taslim, the culinary team has refined traditional flavours, infusing local dishes with carefully crafted spices. There are special highlights from each of the 14 states in Malaysia, such as Udang Harimau Masak Lemak Cili Api Belimbing Buluh from Melaka, Ayam Panggang Pasu Berempah Dwi Jintan from Negeri Sembilan, Pindang Ikan Jenahak Rebus Timun Tua from Kedah and Kambing Salai Gulai Terung Pipit from Selangor.
It truly feels like a trip down memory lane, with every dish using time-honoured recipes and heirloom ingredients.

Treats and Treasures
Apart from the buffet, there are other Ramadan offerings that are just as enticing. The House of Warisan Melayu is highlighting some truly exquisite gift sets and treats at The Drawing Room Boutique (Lobby Level) from 25th February to 18th March.
And honestly, these gifts are so beautifully crafted that they are almost too gorgeous to eat! These include a Signature Sambal Box, a Warisan Melayu Cake Collection, Kunafa Chocolate, and, what we found most intriguing, are the Signature Chocolate Bon Bons shaped as miniature Waus. How unique is that? A delicious treat, with a lovely hint of tradition.

Family Traditions – Butler Interactive Workshop
Running from 1st March to 30th April, this is a hands-on experience where the kids can explore the art of play. Designed for children aged 4 to 12, this interactive workshop is all about fostering curiosity, creativity and cultural appreciation. Of course, the activities are wonderfully rooted in tradition, too. The little ones can get stuck into 2D Wau Colouring, Felt Raya Ketupat Pencil Topper crafting, Gasing Painting, and even 3D Wau Batik Painting. They can even make their own Personalised Hari Raya Felt Money Packets, or join a Honey Cornflakes Cooking Class and Raya Cookie Decorating session. It’s such a thoughtful way to blend learning with a joyful celebration. And as a bonus, they even get exclusive access to the Kids Club!
Workshop Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Friday – Sunday & Public Holidays: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
