One of the highlights of the Mid-Autumn Festival is undeniably the mooncakes. But of course, the occasion also represents so much more. It’s the gesture, the gathering, the box you hand someone as a way of saying thank you. EQ leans fully into that spirit this year with the return of Celestial Treasures 2026, its annual mooncake collection, available now through 26 September at the hotel’s Lobby Pop-Up.

As always, the range spans both heritage and innovation — familiar baked classics sit alongside snow skin creations, all wrapped in gift boxes designed for everyone from family to clients and colleagues as well.

What’s New This Year

The headline addition for 2026 is the Uji Matcha Snowy Pistachio, a snow skin mooncake that brings together the deep, slightly bitter notes of Japanese matcha with the nutty sweetness of pistachio. It slots into an already generous snow skin lineup that includes Golden Charcoal Musang King Durian, Emerald Yuzu Pandan, Mint Chocolate and Hawaiian Macadamia, and Red Bean Custard.

On the baked side, tradition holds strong with the EQ Signature Pearl of Prosperity, White Lotus Single Yolk, Traditional Cantonese Mixed Nuts, White Lotus, and Red Bean.

A Miniature Mooncake Tradition, Still Going Strong

One of the collection’s most sentimental offerings is the Miniature Collection — a tribute back to the hotel’s Hotel Equatorial days, when smaller, daintier mooncakes first became a festive favourite among guests. That legacy continues with bite-sized 18g baked mooncakes in White Lotus and Green Tea, packed 16 to a box. It’s priced at RM128+, with bulk orders available from RM110+ per box.

Boxes for Every Occasion

Beyond the classics, EQ has built out a tiered range of gift sets depending on how much of a statement you want to make:

Autumn Jade Collection (RM298+): Four pieces of baked or snow skin mooncakes, plus two Tangerine Pu-erh teabags, Chinese tea cups, a rose gold cutlery set, and a personal message card, all in a maroon velvet box. Bulk pricing starts at RM239+, with logo customisation on offer for corporate gifting.

Autumn Jade Collection

Longevity Collection (RM178+): Four generous 180g baked mooncakes in an elegantly presented box, ideal for more traditional gifting. Bulk orders begin at RM141+, with bespoke logo options available.

Premium Collection (from RM1,088+): For those who want to go all out, this pairs four baked mooncakes with a bottle of something celebratory, presented in a purple velvet box with rose gold cutlery and a metal message plate. The drink options range from Veuve Clicquot and Hennessy VSOP up through Barons de Rothschild Blanc de Blancs, Hennessy X.O, Dom Pérignon, and, at the very top, Hennessy Paradis at RM9,888+. There’s also a limited-run Vintage Collection, with the Vintage Autumn Jade Collection at RM138+ and the Vintage Longevity Collection at RM108+ — while stocks last.

Early Bird Savings

Shoppers who order ahead can take advantage of 15% early bird pricing on the Autumn Jade, Premium, and Miniature Collections, available until 15 August 2026. Note that the discount doesn’t extend to the Longevity Collection, bulk orders, or à la carte purchases.
