Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to land on the moon?

Surely, becoming an astronaut – a space explorer, a galaxy wanderer – is a grand dream cherished by many children alike. In fact, even as adults, this seemingly far-fetched dream may still reside deep within our hearts.

Maybe you can’t casually hop on the next spaceship to the moon (though it would be cool if you could), but what you can do is surround yourself with fragments and pieces of the moon.

Introducing OMEGA’s latest collection, the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite. Crafted with pieces of the moon, this timepiece transcends mere horology, offering a truly extraordinary experience for the wearer – a wearable fragment of the moon itself.

The OMEGA Speedmaster, forever synonymous with lunar exploration, holds the iconic title of the first-ever watch to land on the moon in 1969. Owning a Speedmaster, wearing it on your wrist – you might as well feel as if you were the legendary astronaut who had landed on the moon all those years ago. Now, the collection takes its connection with the moon one step further with the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite.

This 43 mm timepiece is a reflection of the moon’s surface – a true work of art. The dial is crafted from iron meteorite, an exotic material originating from the depths of space. This cosmic material ensures each timepiece is unique, showcasing an individual pattern unlike any other. The iron meteorite reveals a mesmerising display of intricate, ribbon-like strips, a testament to its celestial origins. OMEGA then elevates the design with a subtle yet impactful touch, adorning the iron meteorite dial with a black PVD or galvanic grey coating.

The star of the show, however, lies in the captivating Moonphase display placed at 6 o’clock. It reveals two cabochon moons, made from genuine pieces of Moon meteorite – almost as if you are carrying the actual moon with you. These two moon cabochons rotate, showcasing the lunar phases as observed from both the northern and southern hemispheres. To elevate the celestial display even further, the background features a star map faithfully recreating the night sky over Bienne back in 1969 – the night the historic Apollo 11, bearing the OMEGA Speedmaster, landed on the moon.
