In the world of luxury yachting, a “rendez-vous” is rarely just a meeting but a sensory manifesto. Following the success of last year’s inaugural Asian gathering in Tokyo, Azimut Yachts recently descended upon the Lantau Yacht Club for the Azimut Hong Kong Rendez-vous 2026. From March 14 to 15, the marina was transformed into a floating gallery of Italian excellence, welcoming over 200 owners and guests who sailed in from as far as Shenzen, Taiwan and Singapore.
Organised in collaboration with Marine Italia, the brand’s steadfast partner across Hong Kong, Macau, Southern Mainland China, Taiwan and Singapore, the event served as a powerful reminder of Azimut’s forty-year legacy in the region.
The Arrival of the Grande 30M
The undisputed protagonist of the weekend was the Grande 30M. Having first turned heads at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, the world’s very first unit was officially delivered to her owner during the festivities.
A triumph of collaborative design, the Grande 30M features a sculptural exterior by Alberto Mancini and sophisticated interiors by the Milanese studio m2atelier. However, it is the vessel’s architectural innovation that truly speaks to the modern Asian lifestyle. The ‘All-day’ deck, a fully walk-around upper level, is anchored by a panoramic lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. This fluid space allows for seamless movement between forward and aft lounges, offering a rare balance of multi-generational privacy and shared social grace.
At the stern, the Deck2Deck™ Terrace redefines the boundary between ship and sea. By ingeniously raising the transom, Azimut has created a 25-square-metre expanse that feels suspended over the water, offering a level of open-air conviviality typically reserved for much larger superyachts.
A Symphony of Craftsmanship
The shoreline was equally evocative. To mirror Azimut’s dedication to technical mastery, Pagani showcased a selection of hypercars, including the Utopia Roadster, drawing a direct line between the precision of Italian automotive engineering and the artistry of the shipyard.
On the water, the Grande 30M was joined by the Asian debut of the Magellano 30M, alongside the Magellano 60, Fly 78 and Fly 62. Together, the fleet offered a comprehensive look at Azimut’s evolution, from the long-range elegance of the Magellano series to the contemporary, light-filled comforts of the Flybridge collection.
Building Lasting Bonds
This sentiment was echoed by Paul Grange, co-founder and COO of Marine Italia, who noted that the presence of 200 owners was the “ultimate celebration” of the community they have built together.
For the modern owner, luxury is about the depth of the relationship and shared journey. As the sun set over Lantau, it was clear that Azimut’s localised strategy in APAC, anchored by deep market intelligence and personal connection, is ensuring that the Italian Mediterranean spirit continues to find its perfect resonance in Asian waters.
