Glenfiddich, the “World’s Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky,” is revving up its partnership with the legendary Aston Martin Formula One™ Team, and to celebrate, they’ve released a limited-edition 16-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This is a testament to the shared pursuit of excellence that defines both brands.

The partnership, which was officially announced at the November 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, unites two icons renowned for their rich heritage and relentless drive to push boundaries. Just as Aston Martin’s engineers meticulously fine-tune every component of a car for peak performance, Glenfiddich’s Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, uses a blend of art and science to craft exceptional whiskies. This new bottling is the liquid embodiment of that shared philosophy, celebrating the perfect balance of precision and intuition.

The Whisky: A Taste of the Racetrack

glenfiddich limited-edition whisky with Aston Martin

The Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One™ Team 16-Year-Old Limited Edition is a truly unique creation, born from a carefully selected marriage of American oak wine casks, new American barrels and second-fill bourbon casks. This diverse cask profile gives the whisky a character as complex and dynamic as a Grand Prix circuit.

The result is a sensory experience that’s both indulgent and exhilarating. The whisky’s journey begins with a captivating nose that is both rich and beautifully sweet, featuring notes of a biscuity cheesecake base, maple syrup, caramelised ginger and a subtle hint of toasted oak. On the palate, it delivers an indulgent, confectionery sweetness with a silky, syrupy mouthfeel. Imagine a bowl of fresh fruit salad topped with Chantilly cream – that’s the smooth, elegant taste you’ll find. The finish is super smooth with a sustained sweetness, a quality that eludes precise measurement, much like the intuitive connection between a driver and their car.

This limited-edition bottle will be available nationwide in Malaysia this September for a recommended retail price of RM523.90.

Where Whisky Meets the Racetrack

For whisky connoisseurs and racing enthusiasts in Malaysia, the celebration goes far beyond the bottle. Glenfiddich is launching Club 1959, a series of exclusive off-track experiences designed to bring the two worlds together. The name is a thoughtful nod to history, celebrating not only the year Aston Martin first entered Grand Prix racing, but also a specific, ultra-rare 65-Year-Old Glenfiddich Single Malt Whisky from 1959. It’s a tribute to bold innovation and the timeless craft of both brands.

The first of these exciting events will debut of Whisky House KL on September 10th. Guests will have the exclusive chance to be among the first in the country to taste the new limited-edition whisky. But the experience doesn’t stop there. Attendees will also have the opportunity to test their skills with immersive racing simulator sessions and high-speed reflex challenges – a chance to feel a little bit of that F1™ thrill firsthand.

This is just the first pit stop. Additionally, Club 1959 pop-ups are planned to roll out during the campaign period, with updates to be announced on Glenfiddich’s official website.

A Partnership Beyond the Product

This limited-edition bottling is just the beginning as we continue to write the next chapter together.

This collaboration is a commitment to shared values. The partnership also serves as a platform to promote responsible choices. Both Glenfiddich and Aston Martin are committed to reinforcing the importance of responsible alcohol consumption and strongly advise against drinking and driving. They are using this high-profile partnership to amplify a critical message and encourage fans to make safe decisions.

So here’s to a partnership that celebrates mastery, tradition and the thrilling journey of innovation. It’s an invitation for enthusiasts to engage with these iconic names in bold new ways and create memorable moments that extend far beyond the racetrack.
