With construction having began in 2021, the new Feadship 1013 Moonrise brings forward the much admired 2020 Moonrise’s design DNA with sleekly elegant exterior lines, a powerfully strong vertical bow imparting an unmistakably masculine profile, and grey and white toned paintwork. Both Moonrises share similar external design profiles by Studio De Voogt and Rémi Tessier’s sophisticated interiors, yet the new vessel also incorporates many technological and design refinements that enhance both its beauty and functionality.

A Feadship first, the most noticeable of these is a complete absence of the mast domes typical of most superyachts. Replacing the first Moonrise’s five domes with VSAT and TVRO antennas, the new vessel boasts Starlink satellite receivers integrated seamlessly into its superstructure, maintaining its sleek aesthetic while providing better communication and streaming capabilities. Other exterior improvements include a taller mast, and more expansive sun deck with a gym, massage area, and hairdressing salon. The bridge deck features a dedicated owner’s deck and private cinema, while the exterior decks and swim platform have also been made larger.

Weighing in at an estimated 4,000 gross tons with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the new Moonrise’s naval architecture is optimised for maximum comfort both at anchor and underway. Expansive glass windows bathe its internal spaces with ample natural light, while reinforcing a visual link with its adventurous multi-level external areas. Feadship has also placed a particular focus on bringing noise levels to an absolute minimum, with the propellers and appendages designed to minimise both underwater noises and inner sound levels for a luxuriously calm cruising experience. This was enabled by another industry first in the form of a fully resilient-mounted anchor winch foundation, with optimized chain routing.

Further outfitting is currently being conducted on the new Moonrise, with sea trials to follow ahead of delivery to its owner. With an incredibly high level of bespoke detail and custom engineering, this will be yet another example of Feadship’s uniquely Dutch approach to superyacht design innovation and luxury.
