Omaya Yachts, the luxury catamaran manufacturer from Bulgaria, has debuted its OMAYA 50 with a world premiere at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. Its CEO Kaloyan Radulov spoke on the brand’s origins while sharing plans for upcoming models in both 62 and 78 footer lengths.

“Having visited Cannes Yachting Festival for the last seven years, I’m so excited to be here hosting and showcasing our debut to the yachting world. We didn’t want to be another dreamer in the industry, and having the infrastructure to fulfill our orders after launching plans was a priority. When we launched the brand in 2024, we already had four dealers on board, the moulds and first hull completed, it was important we took the time to get the design right before launching. This yacht represents the values of the whole Elica Group, with a focus on quality and the client relationship as they become part of the Omaya family.”

Redefining contemporary multihull cruising with leading edge comfort & exemplary performance capabilities, the OMAYA 50 has already been shortlisted for the 2025 World Yacht Trophies for the Best Exterior Design – Catamaran category, although it ended up clinching the Catamaran Revolution 2025 award instead, as announced at the Festival that Saturday. Distinguished by the aesthetic and functional qualities of its exceptionally wide 8.4 meter beam and a hull shape optimally designed for highly efficient sailing, indeed its generous plan form provides unequaled comfort in luxury, with expansive lower decks & a customizable salon.

Precisely crafted at the esteemed Elica Yard along the River Danube’s banks, the OMAYA 50 is targeted to ensure a sumptuous experience for up to 10 guests and additional crew on every voyage, thanks to a host of innovative features. These include an especially spacious flybridge boasting a panoramic view ideal for relaxed social gatherings, while twin staircases enable easy access flow between it & the rest of the vessel. An adaptable high / low aft platform seamlessly facilitates waterborne activities, while enhanced amenities provide uncompromised comfort even over extended duration stays. Coupled with splendidly lush interior design options, it all truly sets the OMAYA 50 apart even in the competitively accomplished realm of luxury yachting.

There are even digital smarts on board: a highly advanced navigation system is integrated as part of the GARMIN EmpirBus system through which owners can easily manage lighting, entertainment, security systems, temperature and more. Featured Raymarine comprise Radar VHF, Satellite TV & the cutting-edge DockSense docking system that uses stereoscopic FLIR machine vision cameras and GPS in concert with steering and propulsion systems to provide an easier assisted docking experience. Finally, for those who like to keep track of their OMAYA 50 in real time, Sentinel’s remote boat monitoring & control system is present as well.
