Marking three quarters of a century since it began bringing its unmatched blend of British power and touring poise to the Americas, Aston Martin celebrated this significant milestone with a commanding presence at the 2025 Monterey Car Week just this past weekend. Amid several other festivities showcasing its remarkable performance & bespoke craftsmanship to the world’s most influential automotive personalities at one of the automotive world’s foremost annual events, they debuted the special Thrillseeker Collection of three distinctive Aston Martin convertible sports cars.
Delivered by the brand’s Q by Aston Martin bespoking service, the collection commemorates this historic 75th anniversary by evoking Carmel Bay’s seasonally evolving hues coupled with the sensuously visceral joy of versatile open top driving. Here, the Vantage Roadster in Mako Blue envisions the new beginning of each dawning morning; while the Seychelles Blue DB12 Volante channels the warmly vibrant energy of a summery afternoon sun. Finally, the Vanquish Volante in Ultramarine Black, captures the spirit of dusk, that dramatically mysterious transitory period just before night falls fully. Each unique Thrillseeker Collection edition is further embellished with wheels, side strakes and a rotary center control dial that calls the Pacific Coast’s amber sun to mind; along with a custom set of luggage. To be exclusively produced in only nine examples, all Thrillseeker Collection Aston Martins have already been acquired with deliveries set to commence towards the end of 2025.
The much-anticipated Valhalla was also unveiled at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering, and displayed on the prestigious Pebble Beach Concept Car Lawn which has always gathered the year’s most groundbreaking icons of design & innovation. Combining the Aston Martin Formula 1 team’s race-proven technologies with incredible design and a dynamically thrilling drive, the Valhalla project’s broad scope represents several technical firsts for the brand including its first mid-engined production supercar, plug-in hybrid, and first production vehicle with dedicated full electric range.
Alongside these exciting premieres, invited guests enjoyed exclusive clubhouse hospitality within Pebble Beach at The House of Aston Martin. Positioned strategically right beside the famed Spyglass Hill Golf Course, they experienced Valhalla customer specification sessions before savouring tipples from newly announced whiskey partner Glenfiddich & engaging in evening celebrations with Aston Martin’s executives.
The party didn’t stop there of course – there were even exclusive test drives organized for them, based out of Carmel Valley’s luxurious Bernardus Lodge. From the DBX707 super-SUV and DB12 Super Tourer, to the dynamic Vantage sports car & incredibly potent V12 Vanquish flagship, they managed to experience all of these current Astons on some of the most engagingly fun roads throughout Northern California.
Capping off the festivities, Aston Martin’s VIP guests even had the privilege of an exclusive vantage point from which to take in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, from Dawn Patrol right through to the Best of Show award’s presentation; surely one of the most revered of its kind among car collectors. This year, it deservingly went to the 1924 Hispano-Suiza H6C Nieuport-Astra Torpedo shown by Penny & Lee Anderson Sr.
