Bentley connoisseurs have much to look forward to over the next few years, as the company has announced several updates from its forward-thinking Beyond100+ strategy with much consideration for prevailing market conditions & customer perspectives. Live streamed from Bentley’s home in Crewe right amongst their first fully-electric car’s future assembly line, Chairman and CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser detailed a revised product plan that extends the life of both pure internal combustion-engined & plug-in hybrid models; giving customers true freedom of choice.
Still, the iconic British marque is on track to form an entirely new segment with the world’s first true Luxury Urban SUV, targeted to be launched towards the end of 2026, with first deliveries in 2027. Remaining unnamed for now, it will measure in at under five metres long to maintain the true Bentley driving experience accompanied by peerless craftsmanship, while industry-leading technology enables it to charge from 0 to 100 miles in under seven minutes. The car’s development continues apace with pre-series prototype vehicles embarking on a performance progression programme across the globe.
Bentley’s previous target of being exclusively electric by 2035 can now be further extended according to customer preferences, with hybridised models spanning across High and Ultra-Performance Engine variants of the Continental GT coupe, Convertible and Flying Spur set to available until at least that date. With the Bentayga Speed having joined Bentley’s range earlier in 2025, another pure combustion limited production performance model in the form of the Supersports will be launched very soon.
This will indeed be music to the ears of driving enthusiasts who still enjoy channeling the spirit of those inimitable ‘Bentley Boys’. An entire century after the first Bentley ‘Super Sports’ debuted, Crewe will now bring the nameplate back once again for just the fourth ever Supersports model. Rear-wheel driven for the first time to heighten agility, it will be the lightest & most driver-focused Continental GT yet. A limited production run will ensure exclusive rarity, much like its illustrious forebears. The possibility of further similarly-engined cars wasn’t ruled out by Bentley either, as it maintains its powertrain flexibility in response to global customer market demands.
Furthermore, Beyond100+ has also involved a deeply fundamental reinvention of Crewe’s manufacturing infrastructure, securing Bentley’s future there for future generations of products and team members. Extensive revisions at the historic site already include an industry-leading certified carbon neutral facility, even as the oldest building there named A1 prepares to assemble the first electric Bentley.
The largest self-funded site investment programme throughout Bentley’s history has already seen the opening of its new Design Centre and Integrated Logistics Centre this year. Following on from that, a new state-of-the-art Paint Shop measuring 180 metres long, 70 metres wide & 20 metres tall is scheduled to open in 2026, featuring AGV automated guided transport systems to further enhance the processes of personalisation painting; further improving on Bentley’s hallmark of bespoke craftsmanship.
