OMEGA unveils the new Seamaster Regatta, specially designed for sailors everywhere. The Swiss brand’s adoration for ocean exploration is the inspiration behind its innovative pieces. OMEGA’s role in the famous regatta at the America’s Cup led to the release of watches that meet the challenges of high-speed boat racing.
The 46.75 mm Seamaster Regatta, which was introduced to commemorate the 37th America’s Cup, is perfect for life at sea. The watch made for sailors, has both analog and digital displays. With features like a temperature gauge, accelerometer, moonphase indicator, chronograph, sailors logbook, three alarms and a regatta racing functionality, this newest timepiece is packed with useful features.
The Seamaster Regatta from OMEGA boasts a unique dial with an LCD display with black markings that guarantee to provide data at a glance. A blue-polished ceramic bezel ring encircles the watch’s face while the background dorns a white-grey shade to show multiple digital readings. The diver 300M-inspired hour, minute and central seconds hand can be cleared from the display when in backlit mode to increase the clarity of the digital readouts.
Four pushes (three blue and one red) adorn the Seamaster Regatta to help sailors navigate through the various functions. For convenience at sea, each pusher is cast in rubber. The timepiece also has sandblasted crowns that have the OMEGA logo laser engraved on them.
The Seamaster Regatta provides sailors with audio cues. Turning over the watch, you will be captivated by the wave pattern casebook, which was designed with the principles of “Helmholtz resonance”. The resonating hollow of the watch helps increase the volume of the alarms. The 37th America Cup logo is embossed on the raised back. The phrases “SEAMASTER REGATTA,” “37TH AMERICA’s CUP” and the name of the brand-new, multipurpose quartz movement, OMEGA’s CALIBRE 5701, are inscribed on the rear. With the quick change ocean-proof strap, the Seamaster Regatta is designed with an integrated blue rubber strap OMEGA’s trademark Quick-Change system.
