A new forged carbon makes its debut in the Royal Oak Concept Collection. With a fresh appearance that includes blue luminous pigments and a revolutionary black forged carbon case centre, the 43 mm Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date is returning. Over five years of meticulous design and development went into making this new and enhanced watch at Audemars Piguet’s R&D workshops.
With this new Royal Oak model from Audemars Piguet, forged carbon is back. Chroma Forged Technology (CFT), uses coloured carbon fibres directly in place of resin to create this timepiece. The watch is less prone to scratches due to the reduced resin composition.
The watch’s non-porous carbon construction offers a fresh look with subdued colour accents and unmatched shock, heat and humidity resistance. The ultra-light two-tone forged carbon case centre of this futuristic watch is matched with a black ceramic bezel, crown, push-pieces and caseback. The black architectural dial with blue accents highlights the watch’s design.
This brand-new Audemars Piguet watch is easy to use thanks to its High Tech Movement. The timepiece is equipped with the self-winding Calibre 4407, a marvel of industrial and mechanical innovation that combines a large date, a flyback chronograph, GMT and spilt-seconds. Even with its intricate horological design, the movement seamlessly interweaves ergonomics with functionality.
