The new addition to Greenline Yachts – The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid – was displayed at the Cannes Yachting Festival for the attendees to witness and evaluate. This glorious yacht is the perfect demonstration of how luxury and eco-responsibility can indeed coexist with each other. The yacht, though designed to provide a luxurious cruising experience, also integrates a hybrid drive system and carefully chosen materials for the interior, which reduces up to 40 percent of emissions compared to a standard diesel. The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid boasts the brand’s famous efficient lines, paired with a spacious flybridge deck. Designed by naval architect Marco Casali, its design is refined and timeless, minimising the appearance of the deck whilst maximising the space.

Beautiful Outdoor Space

The outdoor features a fully equipped outdoor helm station, a bar, a six-person dining table and an open deck for loungers. Paired with a three-bar guardrail at the aft end and glass bulwark forward, the outdoors ensures safety while cruising. The main deck aft displays a stunning square dining table at its centre, complemented by sofas and loose chairs, making for a comfortable space. It also provides a clear view out aft, allowing guests to bask in the ocean scenery. Then, the bathing platform, a feature that makes the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid stand out. The space has a nearly 2-metres depth, ideal to set up loungers by the water’s edge. The hydraulic controls can also lower the platform into the sea and serve as a large swim step. Of course, there is also a convenient upholstered seat at the transom with a large storage area for toys. The tender is carried onto the bathing platform, and it can handle a jet tender of up to 500kg. Additionally, the yacht features a foredeck lounging area with a back/head rest, and full-length lounging for three people complete with an admirable view from the bow.

Open Plan Saloon

The interior is bright, with ample natural light from the outside and a satisfying view of the ocean thanks to the large, mullion-less windows. The spacious galley located aftmost is connected to the outside deck by the glass door and swing-up window. To add, there is also a simple kitchen, making it easy to prepare meals on board. A standout feature of the Greenline is the large space under the galley sole, which owners can utilise for any purpose, such as turning it into an extra storage room or laundry room. The saloon offers an elegant social space, with sofas to starboard and a dinette to port, where the table can be adjusted for either dining, coffee, drinks or indoor lounging. Above it is a designer ceiling light that shines a warm glow onto the saloon. The materials used to design the interior are, of course, eco-friendly, which reflects the brand’s views on sustainable yachting. The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid comes in two interior moods: a cool theme with whites and light blues, and a warmer theme with natural off-whites and beiges.

Accommodation on Deck

The accommodation is placed at the lower deck, the three cabins accessible through a lobby. The grandest of all is definitely the owner’s suite, which spans the amidships of the boat and is illuminated with natural lights and a majestic view of the anchorage. The suite includes a king-sized bed, sofa, vanity table as well as a walk-in wardrobe and the en-suite bathroom does not disappoint. Adorned with designer fittings, elegant porcelainware, complete with a warm woody finish of the joinery, the space is peaceful and provides comfort to its inhabitants. The second cabin is a VIP double berth, which also boasts its own en-suite bathroom and elegant woody joinery. Then, between the two is a flexible third cabin, which can be configured to either a twin or double room, or even an extra multipurpose room if the owners wish. The lovely accommodation options truly suit the Greenline Yachts’ standards.

Hybrid Sustainability

With over 15 years of experience in developing their hybrid technology, Greenline Yachts have advanced further with an even more efficient drive. The H-Drive 6G offers a range of up to 20 nautical miles with a speed of 6 knots, all done on silent electric mode. This hybrid system also cuts off up to 40 percent of emissions, highlighting its eco-friendly qualities. The yacht also includes a 4kW solar array that inputs the energy into the boat’s services. The combination of high-quality lithium batteries and up to 20kWh of solar power enables the yacht to increase its range by a little, but its main purpose is to allow long periods at anchor without the need of a noisy generator.

Our unique approach to responsible yachting gives owners the option of speed when it matters and optimum efficiency over shorter distances,” says the owner and MD, Vladimir Zinchenko.

The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid exemplifies the concept, but it’s also found across all our yachts. Responsible Yachting is a philosophy which has led us to make significant reductions in waste and energy usage at the yard, eliminating paper-based marketing material and recycling as much as we can.”

In addition to the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid, the Greenline 48 Coupe and the Greenline 45 Fly could also be seen at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Both models highlight Greenline’s superstructure options, which are the sleek Coupe and luxurious Fly. They also provide a range of engine options including Yanmar’s new HVO-ready diesels, which use HVO fuel made from waste vegetable oil and further reduce carbon emissions.

Greenline Yachts makes it their mission to prove that it is indeed possible to yacht responsibly. Their Responsible Yachting philosophy extends to the development of their hybrid engines, ensuring the lowest amount of carbon emissions possible, down to the materials they use to construct and design the ship.
