YN20857 Project Setteesettanta by Heesen Yachts takes another major step towards the completion of its construction, following the achievement of a major milestone. This project is a full custom 57m motor yacht, and Heesen Yachts thrillingly announces the joining of the hull and superstructure, alongside the engine placement. The joining provides a first look at the yacht’s sleek and elegant profile, a testament to the exceptional design work of Omega Architects.
As the yacht’s captivating form comes to life, it showcases Heesen’s exceptional skill in both craftsmanship and engineering. The exterior, designed by Omega Architects, seamlessly blends elegance and functionality. The draft is shallow – measured at 2.3 metres – and allows for a more versatile exploration, allowing access to a wider range of areas that a deeper-draft yacht cannot.
As for the yacht’s interior, Cristiano Gatto lends his expertise – his meticulous attention to detail guaranteeing that every aspect of the interior perfectly aligns with the owners’ vision and comfort. Gatto has worked with Heesen across twelve different projects, letting his talents shine once again with Project Setteesettanta.
Cristiano Gatto, serving also the role of Owner’s Representative, says, “This project is a pioneering venture, where our studio passionately engages in both interior design and as the Owner’s Representative. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the owners for entrusting us with this endeavour. Today, we appreciate the beauty of this project in reality. While contemporary technology such as 3D visualisation gives a good idea of how the yacht will look like, seeing the design come to life makes a significant difference.”
Just recently, a pivotal step in the construction of the yacht took place in Verona, Italy – which was the marble selection process. This process is essential to ensure the interior design maintains the high standard of bespoke quality that both Gatto and Heesen are known for in both design and construction.
Project Setteesettanta is Heesen Yachts’ first vessel that features a bridge on the fourth deck, preserving the brand’s signature sleek aesthetic. The yacht incorporates innovative design elements, such as a light, discreet mast and new flat Star Link communication panels. There are a total of four decks on this yacht, and the owners have an entire deck to themselves, ensuring maximum privacy. This privacy is further enhanced with a master stateroom, equipped with a stunning panoramic view of the outside as well as a private terrace. Additionally, the yacht includes an observation deck and a touch-and-go helipad.
“We’re honoured that these experienced yacht owners have entrusted us once again with the construction of a custom yacht. Project Setteesettanta truly reflects Heesen’s core values, with its aluminium hull, shallow draft, and precise engineering. Seeing this 57-metre yacht take shape fills us with pride. Celebrating this milestone and honouring maritime traditions with the owners and their team is particularly meaningful. We take pride in our in-house skills and capabilities and are eager to grow as a shipyard, driven by the inspiring vision of expert owners,” says Niel Vaessen, CEO of Heesen Yachts.
Project Setteesettanta is brought closer to its completion with the placement of the two MTU 16V2000 engines. The yacht boasts a top speed of 18 knots, along with an enclosed volume of 920 GT, ensuring high performance and opulence at sea. Project Setteesettanta will enter its outfitting phase, and is scheduled to be launched in January 2026.
