Have you ever dreamed of surfing without waves? To simply grab your surfboard, run to the nearest water surface, and surf the day away?
With the LIND Canvas, surfing without waves has become possible. You no longer have to travel all the way to the beach, waiting for the waves to come so you can finally start surfing. No. With the LIND Canvas, any body of water – such as a lakeside – suffices to kickstart your surfing adventures.
What is the LIND Canvas?
The LIND Canvas is an electric surfboard, designed to have the look and feel of a traditional surfboard, all the while containing state-of-the-art drivetrain technology that enables surfing anywhere there is water. LIND’s goal is to broaden the possibilities of surfing. Where there is water, there too lies endless surfing fun.
You may wonder if this electric surfboard is too bulky, but in fact, it is quite easy to transport here and there. Weighing only 7kg, the board can conveniently be carried under one arm – much like a traditional surfboard – while the battery and jet are stored and carried in a custom-designed backpack. This eases the transportation process, reducing the time and effort it takes to get to wherever you need to be. Once you’ve reached your destination, simply attach the jet and battery to the board, and voila! You are ready to surf.
The LIND Canvas is a combination of exceptional design, craftsmanship, and performance. Shaped from EPS foam and glassed in epoxy resin, combined with elegant touches like an oak wood tail block and stringer – this surfboard not only looks timeless but also incorporates advanced drivetrain technology, promising a unique surfing experience. The LIND boards generate nearly 30 horsepower, with the capability of reaching speeds up to 60 kilometres per hour. They can run for up to 45 minutes on a single charge, in addition to having an impressive power-to-weight ratio. The boards are equipped with dual motors that spin at an astonishing speed, paired with a high-powered waterjet. Despite their advanced technology, LIND boards maintain a sleek and classic surfboard design.
The LIND Canvas isn’t just another mechanical toy. It is designed to be an extension of the surfer. Rather than worrying about how the machine is supposed to be operated, this electric surfboard follows the lead of its user, responding to the user’s movements naturally which provides a seamless experience.
This high-tech board comes in two sizes – the shortboard for exciting sharp turns, and the mid length for a smoother, calming ride. Both models are controlled by a wireless remote that allows surfers to gradually increase the speed.
The battery, located beneath the board, is cooled by the water and can be fully charged in just one or two hours. The jet propulsion system is lightweight yet powerful, delivering a smooth and controlled performance.
In addition to the high performance it boasts, the LIND Canvas has also incorporated advanced safety features. This includes overheating prevention and added battery durability. Additionally, both the board and jet system are designed to only function when submerged in water, further enhancing safety as well as minimising risks during use.
Prices start at $24,950 (excl. VAT) for the Canvas shortboard and mid length, including the board, drivetrain, remote, charger, board bag, fins, and more.
