The Riva Anniversario, an open powerboat imbued with a sense of timeless craftsmanship, will officially become the embodiment of the history and heritage of the legendary Sarnico boatyard’s 180 years of commissioning boats since its origins on Lake Como with Pietro Riva in 1842.

The 33-foot runabout is a unique piece that is inspired by Riva’s very own Aquariva and Aquarama. The exterior styling is reminiscent of the Aquariva’s classic silhouette, featuring clean lines, balanced volumes and a series of eloquent details drawn from the Aquarama’s refined style.

However, Riva propounds that the weight behind the design of the Anniversario should not be seen as watered down just because it calls upon the styles of both its predecessors. In fact, the Anniversario is configured with a magnificently modern finish, coated with a saturated metallic brown juxtaposed with a gloss varnished mahogany to elegantly complete the ensemble.

The complexion put together carols a masterful contrast between the steel used for various details and trim, and the classic Riva aquamarine alternating with the optical white on all the leather upholstery amplifies its charm seamlessly.

The entire aft section on board is occupied by the engine compartment stowed below the classic sun pad. The Riva is upholstered vastly with an innovative outdoor leather that alternates between aquamarine and white colours. The leather used is meticulously crafted for waterproofing, designed to withstand the marine conditions and promises durability and comfort at sea.

The cockpit highlights a large U-shaped sofa and a central table that seats up to 8 people. But that’s not all, the table is built with an up-down mechanism that allows for the central space to be easily transformed into one big area if its cruisers prefer to catch the wind and sun in their legs. The entire area can also be sheltered with a distinctive bimini top to cover away from the sun as well.

One other innovative feature is the design of the mahogany cabinetry integrated into the lower part of the sofa, showcasing Riva’s ingenuity in fully utilising the space in the cockpit for storage and lifestyle accessories.

Underneath it all, the Riva Anniversario is fitted with an electronically controlled two-speed gearbox that complements the power unleashed from two YANMAR 8 LV engines, each rated for 370hp. The engine configuration propels the runabout for a range of 155 miles at the cruising speed 36 knots, and topping out at 40.5 knots.

The Riva Anniversario is truly a testament to the 180 years of the Italian shipyard and only 18 units will be produced for collector’s worldwide to long for. Ferretti Group is also taking this opportunity to leave a noble mark by donating 1 of its anniversary special open powerboats to the ‘7 Fund for UNICEF’ charity initiative, created by UNICEF and David Beckham.

The limited-edition Riva Anniversario will be auctioned off where the entire proceeds will be donated to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in El Salvador. The silent auction will be open for 5 months and will conclude in Miami on the 16th of February. Follow this link for more information.
