Reaching another significant milestone in its expansion plans for the Asia Pacific region, Azimut Yachts recently hosted their inaugural Asian Rendez-Vous collaboratively with the brand’s exclusive dealer Yasuda Shipyard, from May 22nd to 25th in Tokyo. The exclusive four-day extravaganza welcomed more than 100 distinguished guests with 50 owners from across Asia among them, paying tribute to Azimut’s regional success along with this influential community’s strength reinforced by their deep, common passion for maritime elegance, innovation and sophistication.

With demand continuously accelerating for luxury yachting throughout the APAC region, Azimut’s well-established, extensive dealer network covering Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Mainland China and Vietnam is constantly strengthening its local presence. While being a cultural showcase of that regional success, the Rendez-Vous also marked a strategic touchpoint as the brand charts its next chapter in these waters.

Azimut’s “one dealer per market” strategy has long stood apart as a pioneering industry practice, especially within Asia Pacific. With this model, each market gains the advantages of specifically tailored local insight, especially personal client relationships, and long-term value & innovation driven by an entrepreneurial mindset. This closeness to its clients also keeps Azimut intimately attuned to evolving owner preferences over time, even as a new generation embarks on their own exploration of innovation, design, and technology at sea.

Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group said, “Azimut has always stood for more than products – we represent a way of living the sea with purpose, beauty, and Italian flair. What makes our journey in Asia so meaningful is not just how early we entered the region, but how deeply we’ve connected with owners with shared values. We are especially grateful to Yasuda Shipyard for their dedication in making this meaningful gathering possible – another reflection of the strength of the Azimut family and the relationships that shape our story here.”

Azimut|Benetti Group CEO Marco Valle added, “Asia has long been a region of strategic importance for Azimut, where we’ve built a strong foundation anchored in trust and local insights. The Asian Rendez-Vous was a valuable moment to directly engage our community and reaffirm our commitment. With 16 recent deliveries, such as the Grande 32M in Ha Long Bay, and other 10 already planned, we are proud to continuously grow alongside a new generation of inspiring owners – true to our promise to ‘Dare to Amaze.’”

Yasuda Shipyard itself was transformed into a striking stage exclusively showcasing the brand’s most iconic yachts, in an occasion that saw the vibrant Azimut community taking in Italian high craftsmanship, bold style and cutting-edge innovation. Design excellence & heritage have also always been key cornerstones in Azimut’s philosophy, further highlighted in an artisanal workshop with Milanese leather atelier Serapian.

From families to thrill seekers and even visionaries attracted by avant-garde design, Azimut has spoken to every breed of owner throughout its history, with the world’s most extensive fleet line-up offering each individual a uniquely personalized way to experience life on the water. These kindred spirits united aboard seven Azimut yachts gliding across Tokyo Bay into the night, even as fireworks lit up the sky in a breathtakingly celebratory tribute to their shared passion for the sea beneath a canopy of stars.

Highlighting the union of Italian and Japanese values, guests also enjoyed an immersive cultural journey back on land. The celebration’s undoubted pinnacle was an exclusive evening uniting tradition & innovation at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo, where His Excellency Ambassador Benedetti graciously opened proceedings to highlight that uniquely Azimut spirit of harmony between man, nature, and technology. The sensory culinary experience curated by internationally renowned Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco was a true feast for guests’ enjoyment, followed by a sophisticated performance honourably showcasing Italy’s rich musical heritage. With the inaugural Asian Rendez-Vous having been a success on all fronts, the stage has thus been set for Azimut to deepen engagement and further elevate yachting experiences across the APAC region.
