Azimut|Benetti Group has appointed a new Azimut division General Manager, in the form of Andrea Antichi who will report directly to CEO Marco Valle. Having officially assumed the role on May 12th 2025, he will be responsible for defining the division’s strategic direction and achieving both economic and industrial objectives, in synergy with Company leadership. Antichi’s main priority will be consolidating the footprint of Azimut’s production sites which are presently the subject of an extensive transformation and enhancement plan.

Having been educated as a mechanical engineer, Andrea Antichi comes with a robust professional background with leading industrial companies. Joining Ferrari in 2006, Antichi held increasingly significant manufacturing roles there over time until his appointment as Chief Manufacturing Officer, a position which he held until he joined the Azimut|Benetti Group. He had also gained previous technical experience at Piaggio, and was active in Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institutes’ research where he worked on computational biomechanics.

Andrea Antichi’s appointment is part of Azimut’s broader organizational process and strategic evolution, initiated to combine the nautical sector’s best skills with other industries’ high-level managerial profiles. With this initiative, Azimut seeks to bring a transversal, innovative and future-oriented vision to life.

Azimut|Benetti Group CEO Marco Valle commented, “Andrea’s appointment is an important part of the current phase of evolution of the Azimut division, which commits to building the foundation of an ambitious vision for the coming years: accelerating industrial development with an increasingly structured approach, while continuing to innovate constantly. The transformation of the Avigliana facility, now capable of producing boats up to 26 meters, is a testament to this improvement path. Bringing both experience and managerial vision, Andrea will make a decisive contribution in guiding a new phase of growth, in making production processes even more efficient and in continuing to raise our quality standards.”

Azimut Yachts General Manager Andrea Antichi stated, “After nineteen years at Ferrari, a symbol of Italian automotive excellence in the world, I have chosen to come aboard the excellence of the yachting sector.”

The Azimut|Benetti Group also expressively thanked its previous General Manager Daniele Romiti, who has been committed to the role since 2022. He has led vital development and enhancement projects for Azimut’s production sites during his tenure, with a focus on initiatives to improve the sustainability of industrial processes, such as introducing energy self-generation systems and practices to help establish a circular economy.
