Bang & Olufsen has just pulled a rabbit out of their very stylish hat – and it’s less a rabbit and more a perfectly restored, utterly gorgeous Beosystem 3000c. Get ready to swoon, because this is a full-blown time machine with a side of effortless streaming.

Travel back in time to 1985. Big hair, shoulder pads and the original Beogram 3000 is spinning your favourite tunes, looking effortlessly cool with its pioneering tangential tracking. Fast forward to today and B&O has taken that iconic design, sprinkled it with some modern magic and presented it as the centrepiece of the new Beosystem 3000c.

Beosystem 3000c needle

Why is this a big deal? Because it’s the ultimate fusion of past and present. We’re talking about the tactile, soul-stirring ritual of dropping a needle on a record, combined with the sheer convenience of wirelessly streaming your curated playlists. No more choosing between analogue warmth and digital fluidity – you get both, wrapped up in one impossibly chic package.

But here’s where it gets even more exciting. Only 100 of these individually numbered sets will ever be made. Yes, just 100.

Beosystem 3000c turntable

The Beosystem 3000c is the third instalment in B&O’s “Record Classics” series, a brilliant initiative dedicated to breathing new life into legendary products. Think of it as extreme makeovers for audio icons – restoration, reengineering and a fresh aesthetic twist.

Let’s talk about craftsmanship. Hand-crafted Artisan Walnut meeting sleek, re-anodised aluminium. The original Beogram 3000’s aluminium parts have been lovingly remanufactured at B&O’s legendary Factory 5, given a pearl-blasted and brushed finish that’s just begging to be touched. The turntable itself boasts a precision-machined solid walnut back, a brand-new aluminium control panel and even future-ready pickup cartridge.

Completing this dream team are the Beolab 8 stereo speakers, which aren’t just powerful audio companions but visual masterpieces in their own right, mirroring the turntable’s walnut lamellas and pearl-blasted aluminium shells. The result? A cohesive visual and acoustic experience that promises deep, dynamic sound, whether you’re lost in the grooves of your favourite vinyl or grooving to a streamed playlist.

As Mads Kogsgaard Hansen, B&O’s Director of Product Circularity & Portfolio Planning, puts it, this system “invites our customers to rediscover their vinyl collections and enjoy the emotional richness of music as it was meant to be heard, while effortlessly integrating into how we listen today.”

So, if you’re a connoisseur of fine sound, a lover of timeless design and someone who appreciates a piece of history that’s been future-proofed, the Beosystem 3000c is calling your name. Just remember, with only 100 sets out there, you might want to start polishing your best persuasive arguments now.
