Nespresso has always seemed like the frugal choice for a quick and easy manner for coffees in the morning. But when they go the extra mile to cast up a glimmer of grandeur in their indelible coffee capsules, it’s hard not to hold onto the notion that Nespresso does carry a degree of richness and opulence in taste and mien that can be so desirable at times.

To give you a better idea of what I’m talking about, the coffee capsule maestros are releasing a limited-edition, festive season themed capsule collection in collaboration with Pierre Hermé, creator of the Haute Pâtisserie and a pâtissier (or pastry chef) with an avant-garde design conviction paired with skilled techniques to bring forth refined flavours. The series of holiday java flavours builds upon his extensive background and expert palette, deepening the indulgence with pastry imbued tastes that is enriched with creative and sophisticated gastronomy.

The collection begins with the Infiniment Espresso, a black single origin coffee from Colombia sourced from the region of Tolima. Nespresso claims that the farmers mostly adopt natural methods in line with low-impact agricultural practices to birth the vibrant red fruits that carry smooth cereal notes.

Under the same Infiniment series are also two flavoured coffees – the Infiniment Gourmand Saveur Noisette and Infiniment Fruité Saveur Framboise. The former draws its roasted hazelnut flavour from the delicately sweet South American Arabica beans, followed by some hints of almond biscotti and delicate vanilla. The Fruité Saveur Framboise on the other hand articulates smooth cereal aromas complemented elegantly with the refreshing touch of raspberries. Both are inspired by a pastry savour to declare the same complex flavours associated with Pierre Hermé’s cultivated creations.

Rounding up the holiday capsule collection is the Advent Calendars, a 24 coffee pods exquisitely packed gift box that holds three exclusive Nespresso x Pierre Hermé coffees, as well as popular favourites from the Nespresso permanent range. And for those looking to add a little something extra for their loved ones, they can also opt to purchase the Nomad Travel Mug in a delightful Raspberry colorway for a truly heartwarming gift, imparting any lucky giftee with the choice to take the flavours from the artistry of Haute Pâtisserie wherever they go.

In tandem with the collaboration, Nespresso has also curated several coffee recipes intended to enhance the delicious taste of the limited-edition javas. The recipes can be found here.

The entire collection is available for a set duration and while stocks last, and they can be picked up at Nespresso Boutiques located at The Gardens Mall, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Sunway Pyramid, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, 163 Retail Park Mont Kiara, Publika and Gurney Plaza in Penang. They are also available for purchase via their official website here.
