Lai Po Heen has stood its ground for 25 long years, welcoming a multitude of guests with its fine selection of authentic, high quality Cantonese cuisine since 1999. To mark this grand 25th anniversary, Lai Po Heen is excited to announce the special celebration they have in store to commemorate the occasion. Though it is the year 2024, Lai Po Heen would be rewinding its clock, providing guests with the opportunity to go on a journey to the year of 1999 when the restaurant first opened. The event would go on for 2 months, from Tuesday, 8 October to Sunday, 8 December 2024. During the event, Lai Po Heen will serve the same menu they had in 1999, taking guests on a nostalgic journey celebrating the history and success of the establishment.
The taste of 2024 surely would have evolved from the taste of 1999, and this celebration presents the opportunity for guests to experience what it felt like to dine at Lai Po Heen from 25 years ago. This special event is meant to celebrate the restaurant’s 25-year long journey, welcoming both long-time customers as well as eager new ones who wish to learn more about the restaurant and indulge in the exquisite cuisine they have to offer. An interesting aspect about this promotion is that not only will guests be able to enjoy the same menu items from 1999, but the pricing of the meals would also be like how it was in 1999. This great deal is certainly not one to pass up. Some featured menu items would include Steamed Lobster Dumpling with Fish Roe and Gold Leaf, Deep fried Crispy Chicken Spring Roll with Foie Gras, Deep fried Australia Wagyu Beef Puff Pastry, Steamed Grouper Fish Dumplings with Ginger Onion Sauce and more.
“We are exceptionally proud to celebrate 25 years of serving authentic Cantonese cuisine to the vibrant community of Kuala Lumpur. This promotion is our way of honouring the loyal patrons who have supported us since 1999, while serving as a way to invite new guests to experience the flavours that defined our beginnings,” says Martin Schnider, the General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.
Furthermore, Lai Po Heen would also be introducing an all-new ala carte menu available for lunch and dinner, featuring menu items such as Superior Fish Bone Soup with Prawn, Scallops, Enpiko and Spinach in Young Coconut, among others.
