Exclusively dedicated to Ferrari F50 owners, the iconic Italian supercar manufacturer evocatively concluded its F50 Legacy Tour 2025 just over this past weekend. Presented at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show to mark the company’s 50th anniversary, the Prancing Horse’s third supercar itself celebrated its own 30th birthday in 2025, and this was a perfectly fitting way of paying tribute to what remains a highly beloved and sought after Ferrari. Among the 22 F50s which attended were 4 of just 31 Giallo Modena F50s worldwide – along with an exceedingly rare Argento Nurburgring example, reportedly 1 of only 4 silver F50s ever produced.

The participating F50 teams hailing from 10 different countries enjoyed driving more than 675 kilometers of winding roads through Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, while visiting several of these regions’ most beautiful towns. Over 15,000 km of mileage were covered in total by the F50s throughout the Tour, demonstrating both the genuinely heartfelt passion exhibited by these legendary supercar owners along with the F50s’ enduring reliability, even after leaving the production line over 3 decades ago. It should be noted that the Ferrari F50 has a 6-speed manual gearbox, no electronic driver assistance aids and limited luggage capacity, yet that proved to be no hindrance to these owners – they are proud custodians who fully enjoy driving their cars, and nothing was going to get in their way of doing just that as part of this historic Ferrari Tour. Truly, as classic car expert Simon Kidston once said, If it has license plates, there’s no excuse (not to drive it).”

Starting off from Saturnia with its famous thermal spring baths, The Legacy Tour made its way through enchanting locations as varied as Grosseto, Porto Santo Stefano where they assembled for a stunning waterfront formation display, and Siena with its rich horse racing heritage, before arriving in Maranello on Friday the 9th of May. As a particularly distinctive highlight of the Tour, participants were delighted with the opportunity to meet Paolo Martinelli, the engineer who developed the F50’s renowned Tipo F130B V12 that remains the most direct F1 engine technological transfer into a Ferrari road car from recent history.

The event concluded with an honorary parade lap involving the 22 participating F50s driving on track at Maranello’s legendary Fiorano Circuit, where all of Ferrari road & race cars have been developed ever since it first opened in 1972. This was followed by spirited track sessions enabling the F50 owners to fully explore their cars’ rich dynamic characters & prodigious performance capabilities on the legendary circuit. In every way, this was a fitting culmination to the F50 Legacy Tour that successfully honored one of the all-time finest driver focused analogue supercars in the world.
