Sportscar Together Day Sets Largest Porsche Gathering In Malaysia.

Sportscar Together Day – a day coined up in 2018 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Porsche. It was a day to celebrate sports car fascination, uniting Porsche enthusiasts in sharing experiences and forging unforgettable memories.

Gaining popularity after its success in 2018, and in continuing the tradition, the first Sportscar Together Day in Malaysia was organised by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) and held at the internationally acclaimed Sepang International Circuit early August recently.

The inaugural Sportscar Together Day in Malaysia saw over 2,000 Porsche enthusiasts and fans of all ages joining Porsche in celebrating the special day where they were treated to a closer look at Porsche’s iconic models in its 70-year heritage. Models including the 911 GT3 Cup race cars from Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, 8 generations of the 911, the 919 Hybrid and the Mission E 1:3 scale model were on display. The fans and enthusiast also had the opportunity to learn the historical milestones of the brand in the Fascination Porsche showcase which provided insights in to the past, present and future of Porsche. 

Track side, adults had the opportunity to participate in the Porsche Experience while the children had their go in the Porsche Junior Experience programme. The day also witnessed a new Malaysian Record for the ‘Largest Porsche Gathering’ on Sepang International Circuit with a total of 320 Porsche cars.

We are thrilled to be able to share the experience of driving a Porsche with more people than ever before, or even for new enthusiasts to start their journey with Porsche with the introduction of our new 360 Leasing programme.” 

Apart from the introduction to SDAP’s new leasing programme on the latest Cayenne, Panamera and soon the Macan for both individuals and corporate entities, Christopher Hunter also unveiled the new Macan S, a powerful addition to the Macan family featuring a new three-litre V6 turbocharged petrol engine.
