Going a few steps beyond even the Aston Martin Valkyrie LM, McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing are the latest British household names in motorsport to collaboratively offer an exhilaratingly authentic, sensational Le Mans Hypercar experience to a selected few elite clients, in the form of the Project: Endurance customer partnership programme.

The successfully chosen individuals for Project: Endurance will be more than just drivers of track day cars; indeed they will become a hallowed part of McLaren’s racing history itself. This incredibly storied legacy spans across Woking’s iconic 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans victory, a pair of Indy 500 wins, and more than 190 Grands Prix victories including Monaco which have resulted in nine Formula 1 Constructors’ World Championship titles. Cumulatively, this diverse array of competition triumphs has made McLaren the only manufacturer to achieve the Triple Crown of Motorsport thus far.

McLaren Group Holdings CEO Nick Collins stated, “I’m delighted to announce that McLaren Automotive is collaborating with our colleagues in McLaren Racing to introduce a bold, authentic Le Mans Hypercar customer ownership experience. In addition to owning the very latest LMDh race car – a driving sensation alone few will ever experience – customers will enjoy unique, wholly immersive access to the development and racing programme that will underpin our 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship contender. Together with the associated track driving programme curated for Project: Endurance, this incredible opportunity delivers a new dimension in McLaren customer partnership.”

Virtually identical to McLaren United AS’ WEC LMDh Hypercar and to be built by renowned race car manufacturer Dallara, Project: Endurance will be powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 race optimized hybrid powertrain driving the rear wheels.

McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown added, “McLaren Racing’s return to the FIA World Endurance Championship marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for us. We have a rich history in the sport together with McLaren Automotive, having raced and won on our first attempt at Le Mans in 1995. This customer programme will offer buyers an incredible chance to own an authentic race car and get closer to the action on track.”
Elevating the Le Mans Hypercar ownership experience to an unprecedented new level even among legacy supercar manufacturers, Project: Endurance will bring its clients closer than ever before, right into the very core of McLaren’s elite motorsport development and testing programmes. They will enjoy complete insider access to McLaren Racing’s imminent LMDh initiative, key team personnel and drivers, becoming an integral part of this iconic new chapter in McLaren’s endurance racing legacy even as the marque strives for victory in 2027’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The project’s customers will even experience the unique euphoria of being part of McLaren’s 24 Hours of Le Mans campaign for that year, as part of an overarching bid to score the Triple Crown of Motorsport once more, in a single season this time around.
As for the 2-year Project: Endurance customer track programme, this will enable customers to drive their Hypercars at some of the world’s best race circuits while exploring their impressive capabilities. Each track event will include professional race driver coaching, and support from dedicated race engineers & pit crews throughout.
