Following on from their recent Porsche Unseen display featuring some of the marque’s previously classified concept cars, Curvistan Bangkok is now moving into the art, culture and design of Porsche electromobility with the immersive “Electrifying Past. Present. Future.” showcase. Set to run from 20th March until 18 August 2025, this new exhibition will enable visitors to closely explore the iconic brand’s many advanced innovations redefining high performance electrification, in what has become a renowned Porsche community destination for both locals and visitors from around the world alike.

Porsche’s technically pioneering spirit is highlighted by the exhibition beginning all the way from the year 1900, when the world’s first “Lohner-Porsche System” wheel hub-mounted electric motor was created by Ferdinand Porsche and demonstrated to a global audience at none other than the Paris Exposition’s Palace of Electricity.

Snapping forward through time 125 years later now, a newer foray by Porsche into electrified driving performance is also highlighted at Curvistan Bangkok in the form of the 918 Spyder hybrid hypercar, a true masterpiece of engineering that seamlessly integrates electrification with a motorsport bred naturally aspirated V8 engine revving out to 9150 rpm, thus blending a soulfully thrilling driving experience with impressive efficiency. Bearing chassis number 345, this particular 918 Spyder comes equipped with the weight optimised Weissach Package, and features an optional #22 Martini Racing livery which pays homage to 917KH chassis 053’s iconic colours when it won the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race.

Another electrified Porsche Le Mans icon takes pride of place as the new exhibition’s centrepiece: the legendary 919 Hybrid race car that won the legendary race thrice in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Once its racing career was successfully completed, it was further developed into the unrestricted “919 Evo” version, and in this form it managed to clock an incredible 5:19.55 Nürburgring Nordschleife record lap time driven by factory ace Timo Bernhard that still stands uncontested to the present day.

Beyond its triumphs on the racetrack, the 919 Hybrid successfully pioneered and transferred motorsport-proven electric technology into Porsche’s road cars – including 800-volt architecture that makes the new Taycan faster and more efficient than ever before.

Porsche enthusiasts and prospective customers alike will be able to experience this themselves first-hand through the Porsche BEV Experience that enables them to test drive both the extensively updated Taycan, and first all-electric Macan. A dynamic driving program will allow participants to experience the incomparable performance and precision of these electrified Porsches.
