Maserati’s most powerful track-only super sports car – the Maserati MCXtrema – arrives in the UK, delivered to a passionate Maserati collector at Sytner Maserati Ascot in Berkshire.

The customer – a collector as well as a racer – even has his own racing team. During the development of his very own MCXtrema, he collaborated closely with Maserati’s team. This involved visits to the Centro Stile design center in Italy to even being a passenger in the prototype car at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. This further exemplifies Maserati’s dedication to providing its customers with a tailored and unique experience.

I’m thrilled to receive the keys to my very own MCXtrema today. A lot of work has gone into defining the car to my exact configuration requirements and I couldn’t be happier. It’ll be great to get it out onto the track shortly where it belongs and seeing what it can really do in the UK,” the new owner excitedly commented.

The MCXtrema made its global debut earlier this year at Monterey Car Week, making an appearance on the track at Laguna Seca in the USA. Andrea Bertolini, Maserati’s Chief Test Driver played a significant role in the vehicle’s development, driving it in circuits and pushing its boundaries.

Named “The Beast of Modena”, this super sports car boasts an impressive 730-horsepower V6 three-litre twin-turbo Nettuno race engine. Not only is it a beast, but it is surely a beauty to behold. The car underwent rigorous virtual simulations and extensive real-world track testing to ensure optimal performance and handling. And designed by Maserati Centro Stile, it encapsulates the Italian brand’s racing power and elegance.

The Maserati MCXtrema is designed with aerodynamic features, including minimal ride height, a fully flat underfloor, a front splitter, a rear wing and shark fin, as well as a sculptural rear diffuser – all contributing to the vehicle’s high track performance.

The interior is designed for a “racing” performance, featuring a racing seat with a six-point belt and roll cage. The steering wheel is made of carbon and aluminium, and features a five-inch central display, along with buttons rotary selector and an ergonomic grip. The lightweight carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, weighing approximately 1,300 kg, provides exceptional rigidity. The advanced double-wishbone suspension geometry and kinematics, adjustable racing dampers, springs and anti-roll bars, combined with a cast-iron brake system, ensure superior track performance with precise handling and high agility.

The Maserati MCXtrema is only limited to 62 units globally, and to match this exclusivity, the brand offers exclusive experiences special for MCXtrema owners. The MCXperience program provides access to curated track events and the expert guidance of the Maserati Corse team, while the MCXperience Concierge allows owners to take part in personalised driving experiences and aftersales support. Additionally, each MCXtrema owner will receive a specially designed racing kit, developed by Maserati in collaboration with Sparco, to elevate the track driving experience and cater to the unique needs of each owner.
