The Taycan now offers a wider range of options than ever before. With three body variants, all-wheel and rear-wheel drive configurations, and power outputs of the Porsche E-Performance ranging from 300 kW to 760 kW, there are now 16 different Taycan models available.
All the Taycan models are now available in new exterior colours. In the Legends category, Slate Grey Neo and Pale Blue Metallic are the new additions. Meanwhile, in the Dreams category, Purple Sky Metallic has been added.
The three new models come with an array of enhancements, featuring more power, range, acceleration, and less charging time. This enhanced performance is thanks to several upgrades, including an advanced powertrain with a new rear-axle motor, a modified pulse inverter with optimised software, more powerful batteries, revised thermal management, a next-generation heat pump, and a modified recuperation and all-wheel-drive strategy. The cars can now charge at up to 320 kW, and the maximum recuperation capacity during deceleration has increased to 400 kW. Additionally, all Taycan models now come with a more comprehensive standard equipment list and the latest generation of the Porsche Driver Experience.
The New Taycan GTS
The new edition of the Taycan GTS is a sporty all-rounder. It comes as a sports sedan, or as a Sport Turismo in selected markets. This Taycan GTS boasts an overwhelming 515 kW of overboost when using Launch Control. The standard Sport Chrono package includes a new push-to-pass function, providing an extra 70 kW of power for 10 seconds.
Both the Taycan GTS sports sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The sports sedan can sprint from 0 to 200km/h in 10.4 seconds, and the range has been extended by over 120 kilometres and is now up to 628 kilometres in the WLTP.
The Taycan GTS has a unique sound profile added, similar to the Taycan Turbo S. This distinctive sound sets the GTS apart from other Taycan models. The exterior and interior are unique as well. The Black or Anthracite Grey is what distinguishes a GTS. What’s new are the Sport design front and rear aprons with inlays painted in Black (high-gloss). This Black (high-gloss) is also found on the exterior mirrors. The 20-inch Turbo S Aero Design wheels and 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels are both painted in Anthracite Grey exclusively for the GTS.
The interior of the Taycan GTS features premium materials, including Race-Tex and smooth leather, similar to the Taycan Turbo GT. It also includes advanced features such as the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus, a GT multifunction sports steering wheel, and the Sport Chrono package. The optional GTS interior package is now available in the colour Slate Grey Neo in addition to Carmine Red. On the instrument cluster, power meter and start graphic is the Taycan GTS logo, and the standard sound system used is The BOSE® Surround Sound System.
The Taycan GTS features a GTS-specific chassis and optional rear-axle steering for enhanced sports performance. It comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus). The optional Porsche Active Ride suspension system, specifically tuned for the GTS, further improves road handling and comfort.
The New Taycan 4
The new Taycan 4 offers all-wheel drive and high efficiency, making it a great choice for those who want the best of both worlds. It’s available with two battery options, offering overboost power outputs of up to 300 kW or 320 kW when using Launch Control.
The Taycan 4’s range varies depending on the battery type. With the Performance battery, the range is up to 559 kilometres, while the Performance Plus battery extends the range to 643 kilometres. This makes the Taycan 4 the most efficient all-wheel drive model, with a range comparable to the standard Taycan models.
The Taycan 4 is more stable than the rear-wheel-drive Taycan, due to its dual-motor setup. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds faster than the rear-wheel-drive version, despite weighing 80 kilograms more.
Porsche has continuously improved the all-wheel drive system in the Taycan, and the new Taycan 4 benefits from these advancements. The front electric motor can be disengaged to improve efficiency when unnecessary, and it can be reactivated instantly when needed. The Taycan 4 comes standard with 19-inch aero wheels, black brake calipers, matrix LED headlights, Porsche Traction Management (PTM), and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
The Taycan 4 comes standard with comfortable front seats (with electric eight-way adjustment), partial leather interior in black, Dark Silver accents, a leather multifunction sports steering wheel, brushed silver aluminium door entry guards, and the Sound Package Plus. The partial leather interior also comes in Slate Grey or a two-tone Black/Chalk Beige combination.
