Marking the third year of the partnership, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia continues its support of Nicol David Organisation’s (NDO) programmes, “Little Legends” and “Ibu Legends” by donating a total of RM100,000. This partnership demonstrates Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to education and sustainability, an effort towards a brighter, greener future.

The “Little Legends” is a programme that aims to empower children, and through this partnership, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia seeks to increase the children’s awareness and understanding of sustainability, making sure they are well-equipped to make a change and preserve the earth for future generations to come. Following this, the company plans to introduce several empowering activities for its young participants. This includes four specialised workshops that aim to raise environmental awareness among the children, and will focus on important sustainability topics, such as global warming, pollution, and sustainable farming practices. Apart from that, there is also the Mobile Kids programme, an initiative to teach children about road safety in a fun and interactive way. Through this, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia strives for a more sustainable and safer future by equipping the youth with the necessary knowledge and skills to make that possible.

Additionally, with the introduction of NDO’s new programme this year, the “Ibu Legends”, an opportunity is presented to connect with mothers and give them education on climate change, sustainability, and empowering them to become overall more knowledgeable parents.

“Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s renewed partnership with Nicol David Organisation aligns with our corporate citizenship strategy, which advocates social mobility and inclusion by providing access to quality education. By equipping the “Little Legends” with essential knowledge and skills, we aim to empower them to lead their communities toward a more sustainable future. We are also proud to extend our impact through the “Ibu Legends” programme, supporting the mothers of these young leaders and fostering a holistic approach to community sustainability. Sustainability is for all ages, and through these initiatives, we are passionate about cultivating a sense of environmental responsibility across generations,” said Amanda Zhang, CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.

“Our ongoing partnership with Mercedes-Benz Malaysia really shows how much we both care about nurturing the next generation of environmental stewards. Together, we hope to inspire these “Little Legends” and “Ibu Legends” to embrace sustainability and take active steps in safeguarding our planet. We believe that through this collaboration, we can unlock the potential within each child and mother, empowering them to make meaningful contributions to the environment and their communities,” said Datuk Nicol Ann David, Founder & Head Coach of Nicol David Organisation.

The handover ceremony took place in Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s office, coinciding with the Ibu Legends workshop organised by NDO. There were 35 mothers in attendance from the newly launched “Ibu Legends” programme,  and the workshop provided them with valuable parenting advice as well as discussions on the pressing issue of climate change. The event also offered these mothers a unique opportunity to test drive the latest Mercedes-Benz vehicles and create lasting memories through photos and videos.

In accordance with the Mercedes-Benz Ambition 2039, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is committed to a sustainable business strategy that places sustainability at the forefront of its operations and guiding principles. The company continues to focus on promoting sustainable mobility and reducing its environmental impact, shaping a future where luxury and sustainability go hand-in-hand.
