Capella Hotel Group, a renowned luxury hospitality brand, has announced that it will be accepting digital payment tokens (DPTs) at its flagship properties, which are Capella Singapore and Patina Maldives, Fari Islands. This announcement opens up a new path towards the digital age, spelling a bright, digital future for the brand. Recognising the increasing popularity and convenience of DPT payments, Capella has partnered with dtcpay, a Singapore-based DPT payment service provider licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Dtcpay offers guests a seamless and secure payment experience, and this innovative step positions Capella at the forefront of the industry, providing guests with a modern and convenient way to pay for their luxurious accommodations.
Completing the transactions is simple. At Capella Singapore, the front desk is equipped with a dtcpay terminal, where guests can conveniently scan a QR code during check-in or check-out. This simple process allows guests to use their preferred digital wallets to settle all charges to their room upon check-out, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
As for guests at Patina Maldives, Fari Islands, a secure online link will be provided, ensuring a safe and seamless transaction. The picturesque island resort boasts a tranquil atmosphere, and such a smooth payment process complements it perfectly, offering guests an enjoyable experience.
“We are proud to be one of the first Singapore-based hotel groups to accept digital payment tokens, testifying to our commitment to innovation and unparallelled service. With our guests at the centre of all we do, it was natural for us to constantly find solutions that are in step with their evolving preferences. This is just the beginning of our journey into the world of digital assets, and we look forward to exploring more innovative ways to enhance the guest experience through technology,” says Cristiano Rinaldi, President of Capella Hotel Group.”
“By integrating digital payment tokens, we’re not only enhancing convenience but also significantly boosting operational efficiency. This technology allows for fast, secure transactions, reducing the complexities often associated with international payments. It’s a win-win for our guests and our operations. We will continue to include more Capella and Patina properties for this initiative.”
Given that over 560 million people worldwide own digital currencies, the hotel group’s adoption of this digital payment method is expected to attract and appeal to a new demographic of travellers. From an operational standpoint, this initiative streamlines the settlement process and contributes to a more seamless and enjoyable customer experience, maximising efficiency.
In collaboration with dtcpay, as of now, the digital payment tokens that the properties accept include:
