A Relaxing Weekend In The Highlands

Chalet Edelweiss Unwind curates an alp-infused getaway for a fun-filled weekend amongst nature.

If you love the idea of a close-to-nature camping getaway, but dislike the hassles that come with it, then Glamping is the perfect escapism for you. Coined from the term "glamorous camping", glamping is a style of camping in nature-inspired spaces with resort-style amenities to perk up your outdoor recreation in comfort, all while retaining a genuine camping feel and experience.

Edelweiss, the renowned premium wheat beer birthed in the Alps, is inviting all nature-lovers to the Chalet Edelweiss Unwind this coming 21st to 24th October. Set in the sun-lit plains of the Resorts World Awana Driving Range, Genting Highlands, this alp-infused glamping experience comes packed with a series of exciting outdoor activities, scrumptious foods, good music, and of course, delicious booze.

The Austrian brewers are staging this little getaway as a means for city-folks to take a breather and disconnect from their hectic city lives, bringing together beer aficionados and adventure seekers alike to bask in the cold and crisp air of the highlands, lounging in the heart of lush greeneries for a truly relaxing weekend.

The general admission (Day Pass) to the event is free. But for the more adventurous souls, they can also opt for the 2D1N Camper Pass for a premium weekend glamping experience in a comfy and cosy tent with exclusive access to the camper zones, with added perks and activities like food vouchers, scheduled morning yoga, and an evening bonfire under the starry night sky of Genting Highlands.

Either way, both day pass holders and campers can expect a course of gratifying activities to take a break from city life for a fun-filled weekend. Chalet Edelweiss Unwind creates interactions between guests and nature with games like Giant Connect 4, Giant Wall Ball Maze, Crossnet, and a myriad of other games and entertainment.

Nature-lovers can also opt-in for a trail walk along the lush beauty of Montane Timber Forest of the Awana BIO Park, admiring giants of the forest whilst taking in the picturesque views of the Awana Golf Course. Trekkers can also partake in transplanting native young timbers in contribution to sustaining the Mountain Timber Forest, all while learning more about forest conservation.

But for those who prefer to kick back and relax, simply just grab some bites from the snack bar, grab a cold premium wheat beer, lay back, and chill on the hammocks with the serenade of live music performances. Edelweiss promises a thrilling line-up of local, regional and international bands that will bring the campground to live.

Guests are also welcome to explore the specially curated Edelweiss cocktail, a specialty available for only three days at the Alps Bar. Surrounded by Instagram-worthy spots, drinkers can capture their eventful experiences on the event grounds with a refreshing Edelweiss in hand.
