Hyatt Hotels Corporation is known to have brought to life ‘The Unbound Collection, a thoughtfully organised portfolio of one-of-a-kind hotels with a story-worthy allure infused in each one of them. This quirky compilation of hotels often feature unique, thought-provoking environments and experiences aimed at inspiring its guests with an elevated yet unscripted experience in their travels. With that said, the Hyatt Brand announces the opening of the Fuji Speedway Hotel in Shizuoka, Japan. This will be the first development within the planned series to be established in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji, the hotel is located adjacent to the monumental Fuji Speedway motor racing circuit which hosts world-class racing events and has become a landmark in the world of motorsports. This magnificent motorsport-inspired hotel also harbours the Fuji MotorSports Museum, showcasing approximately 40 story-worthy and era-defining race car models dating back to the 19th century.

Developed by the Toyota Group, the project will become an exclusive space where guests can indulge and immerse in the rich history and culture of motorsports. Tomohide Yamamura, President of the Toyota Fudosan, commented “Fuji Speedway Hotel epitomises the brand’s hallmark for worldly, unforgettable memories, and I believe it is the brand that best encapsulates the appeal of the Fuji Motorsports Forest. We hope this hotel will become a place loved by people all over Japan and across the World.

Now in terms of lodging, the Fuji Speedway Hotel features 120 stylish accommodations, including 21 spacious suites with private balconies overlooking the Fuji Speedway race circuit and the majestic Mount Fuji. The location also highlights 5 dog-friendly villas that feature individual private garages with floor-to-ceiling windows for proud owners to admire their vehicles from inside the adobe.

And moving on to the dining scene, the hotel highlights two restaurants serving their respective authentic local fare. The TROFEO is an all-day Italian trattoria-style eatery that spotlights its outdoor terraces, private rooms, and a casual lobby lounge enriched with breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. The Robata, Oyama, on the other hand, offers an interactive Japanese dining experience where only the best meat and freshest seafood are grilled to perfection at a central show kitchen.

The hotel also fully capitalised on its winsome environment to introduce an atmospheric, speakeasy bar with an outdoor terrace where motor enthusiasts can indulge in a menu of delectably crafted cocktails and a range of premium Japanese whiskeys.

Guests can also revitalise their mind, body and soul at the Omika Wellness & Spa, a sanctuary dedicated to the health and wellbeing of its guests that includes an indoor pool, a spa, indoor and outdoor hot spring onsens, and a spacious fitness centre. In another nod to motorsports fans, the fitness centre boasts a state-of-the-art driving simulator designed for professional race car drivers, but is available for guests as well.
