CAAV Certifies ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia For Vietnam-Registered Dassault Aircraft.
ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia steps up another notch, obtaining the certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) to perform line and heavy maintenance on selected Dassault Falcon 2000 aircraft. These continuous developments from ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia (ExecuJet MRO Services is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation) allows Dassault Aviation to continuously improve the Falcon customer experience in the region.
The certification covers line and base maintenance up to and including C Checks – 72 months or 3,750 flight cycles – on the Falcon 2000EX, Falcon 2000 EX EASy and Falcon 2000LXS aircraft as well as covering for maintenance on landing gear and batteries for these aircraft.
In addition, the CAAV has also certified ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia to work on Pratt & Whitney Canada PW300-series engines, including: scheduled inspection, repairs, non-routine maintenance, removal and replacement of engine accessories. (However, this does not cover engine overhaul as this will fall under the purview of an engine MRO facility).
This certification presents vast opportunities for ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia as a variety of work on Vietnam-registered Dassault Falcon 2000 aircraft and their Pratt & Whitney PW300 engines can be carried out at their Subang Airport, Kuala Lumpur facility. ExecuJet MRO Services is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation.
“The team at ExecuJet MRO Services is demonstrating initiative and capability, in expanding their offerings for the Dassault Falcon fleet,” says Jean Kayanakis, Dassault Aviation Senior Vice President, Worldwide Falcon Customer Service & Service Center Network. “These developments allow us to continuously improve the Falcon customer experience in the region.”
Ivan Lim, Regional VP Asia at ExecuJet MRO Services, says: “Vietnam is rapidly growing as a market for business aviation. There are now a small number of business aircraft based in Vietnam, which we can attribute to the country’s growing economy. Vietnam is a resilient market in which GDP growth over the last two decades has averaged 5-7% per annum.”
“Vietnam’s business jet market has grown in tandem with the economy, which is export-led. Many industry leaders value the convenient access to factories and markets that business jets offer,” Lim says. He also added that ExecuJet MRO Services is committed to serving the needs of business jet operators throughout the region.
Vietnamese owners and operators of Dassault Aviation business jets will benefit greatly because ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia is in close proximity to Vietnam and located centrally within the broader Asia Pacific region.
“ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia is a Dassault Aviation-owned service centre. We have made significant investments in tooling and factory training our licensed engineers on Falcon aircraft in addition to hiring experienced engineers from Europe to complement our team,” says Lim.
